Millions of youth worldwide live and work in different violent conflict situations impacting their workspaces and daily lives. The Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) and PeaceNexus have partnered up to understand the realities of diverse young people working in the environmental and/or social fields when it comes to peace and conflict, as the first step toward further action and support on these matters.
This survey is part of a youth consultation on environment, peace and conflict. Through this consultation, we aim to gather youth perspectives on these matters, understand further the contexts in which youth who engage in social/environmental fields live in and work, learn how conflicts impact young people and get a clearer picture of how they wish to be supported on this.
The results of this survey will inform future actions, and the key messages from the results will be used to inform advocacy and actions that aim to increase awareness and push for policies that take into account this important aspect of young people’s lived realities. The results are also expected to be presented at key meetings such as the upcoming 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP15) and other events by the GYBN community.
To reach as many young people as possible, the contents of this form are available in English, Spanish & French and can be answered in any of these languages.
