How has the move to virtual settings impacted mediation during the pandemic?

On June 7th, PeaceNexus held an informal roundtable discussion to enable mediators and practitioners across different organisations to share their experiences, challenges and opportunities relating to virtual mediation for business-community conflicts.

Key takeaways included the challenges of preserving confidentiality, ensuring equal access and building trust among stakeholders. At the same time, participants acknowledged the benefits of reduced costs and environmental (travel) impact and encouraged the development of hybrid processes in future.
