The PeaceNexus Foundation recognizes the importance of creating space for innovation in peacebuilding. While we encourage experimentation with unconventional approaches including entrepreneurial and technology-based ones in all our partnerships, we no longer have a Call specifically on innovation.
Since 2016, we have instead been providing support to the Build Peace Fellowship program, which enables selected individuals to harness technology for peacebuilding purposes. In 2018, the program will take place in Myanmar and applications are now open! Interested organisations have until June 6th to apply at: http://howtobuildup.org/index.php/fellowship/
In 2015, we initiated a project to develop new approaches to monitoring how aid agencies live up to their commitments to ‘do no harm’ in conflict-affected contexts.
In 2014, we selected three NGOs to implement projects to strengthen civic engagement in monitoring the implementation of peace agreements in Mali and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
