The PeaceNexus Foundation recognizes the importance of creating space for innovation in peacebuilding. We seek to provide peacebuilding actors with the means and space necessary to develop new ideas around specific peacebuilding challenges and to encourage experimentation with unconventional approaches including, but not limited to, entrepreneurial and technology-based ones.
In 2016, PeaceNexus Foundation provides support to the Build Peace Fellowship program, which enables selected individuals to harness technology for peacebuilding purposes.
In 2015, we initiated a project to develop new approaches to monitoring how aid agencies live up to their commitments to ‘do no harm’ in conflict-affected contexts.
In 2014, we selected three NGOs to implement projects to strengthen civic engagement in monitoring the implementation of peace agreements in Mali and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
